I am currently on parole. I have a good status with my parole officer; no violations. My husband is now in jail & I’d like to visit. Will they allow me to see him, since I’m on parole?

Jody – They’ll let you see him but you might want to check with your parole officer to make sure it won’t cause a problem for you.

Kat – There is always a possibility. If the ticket is from a county agency like one of the Justices of the Peace, odds are high they will arrest you. If they are San Antonio they may not but we stress that there is always a possibility you could get arrested.

I just barely got a state id. Well they let me visit the jail with the paper one till mine comes in the mail? They refuse to let me in using my Arizona driver’s license.

Liz – We have been told that as long as it is a government issued picture I.D. it can be used. Did they say why they would not take an Arizona I.D.?

U can use a paper I d. And I had traffic warrants and Bexar County and they never arrested me.. Even someone else I know with traffic warrants.. It’s only if you have a traffic warrant they won’t do anything..

I’m from out of state and know I can visit but need to know the days I can visit it’s confusing BC I was told that out of state can visit everyday, but going by this I can only visit Mondays and Saturdays? Is that right?

    • admin

Kylie – Yes we know it’s confusing. Sometimes it feels like they want it that way since they change their policies periodically. Supposedly at the current time you can only visit on the person’s visitation days but I would call the officers at the Front Desk, 210-335-6300, to let them know your situation to see if you can come. The final decision is made by them.

How long does it take and inmate to get a visitor name on the list if it is a weekend (Saturday night)? Would I be able to see him on Sunday?

    • admin

Armandina – You can visit if it is her visitation day. The first five days is for immediate family only, after that you must be on the visitation list.

Abi – You can’t get that information over the phone. You have to go down with picture identification to see if you are on the list or you can tell the inmate to put you on his visitation list either by sending him a letter or next time he calls.

Mandy – Probably not but you need to contact the officers at the Front Desk to find out for sure. 210-335-6300.

I’m trying to take my son to visit his dad. But when I go to search for him in the vizvox his name doesn’t appear , is there a reason for that ?

      • admin

Victoria – Call Central Records at 210-335-6201. Ask them to check to see if he is still in the facility to make sure he hasn’t been moved someplace else. Sometimes they do house inmates at other locations. If he is there, then ask them to transfer you to someone at video visitations so you can find out what the problem is. Maybe it’s just a computer error.

Brenda – We are not the Bexar County jail. We are a privately owned site that tries to help people who have loved ones in the jail. Your problem is something you will have to speak directly with the jail about. It’s something wrong with their system.
