Why Minorities Fight Back Against Police
Anyone who watches or reads the news sees story after story about officers harassing minorities and minorities hating officers. It’s easy to say those minorities are just criminals and that’s why they don’t like police but that’s just to make us feel better about ignoring what is being done.
We’ve been seeing more and more stories of the reality of what black people have to put up with on a daily basis. We’re seeing how often white people call the police on black people for no valid reason. But those things tend to be one incident at a time. We can brush it off as just a one-off thing even though we see all those different incidences.
I came across a Twitter thread that won’t let us get away with believing these are one-off incidences. This thread shows the damage that police can do to minorities. I highly recommend you read it.
