06/29/2018 – Deputy Stops to Help Woman, Shoots Her
According to Deputy Brandon Doege, he was driving home on Highway 90 when he saw a car stopped in the road with its hazard lights on. Deputy Doege stopped to help the stranded woman. According to Deputy Doege the woman was acting erratically. Doege told the woman to show her hands multiple times. While trying to get her to comply he called 911 for help. Deputy Doege says the woman reached behind her. Deputy Doege shot the woman. The woman is in critical condition in a San Antonio hospital. No information has been released regarding the identity of the woman. All that has been said is that she is in her 50s. The incident occurred in Medina County and is being investigated by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
