ICSolutions

The Bexar County Jail has changed inmate calling providers.  The new company is ICSolutions.  Cost per call is different depending on the jail.  They do not say what the cost is for Bexar County but they do say ICSolutions will tell you the cost during the set-up process or you can call them at their customer service department, 888-506-8407.  That department is open 24/7, a nice change from the previous provider.

ICSolutions will accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, debit card, Western Union, money order and cashier’s check.  They also offer various ways to contact them:

I had blocked an inmate from calling me on IC solutions, but now I would just like to know how do I unblock that inmate?

  2. Michelle

I been calling icsolutions but the toll free number is not working i cant even setup a account neither how can i contact them please help

    • admin

Michelle – Call Central Records. We’ve heard that ICSolutions set up another number but we don’t have it. Central Records at 210-335-6201 should have it.

      • admin

Julie – Yes, the calls are very expensive but there is no cheaper option. If it helps you to feel better the profit the jail make goes into a fund to be used for inmates. In this case all you can do is look on the bright side.

my son is soon to be transferred from BCADC to the Garza Unit Federal Prison. Best I can tell from their website, I will have to use Jpay.com, so I assume I will have to discontinue the ICSolutions. Just wondering if you know if that is correct and will I get a refund from ICS for unused time?
    Thanks again!

    • admin

Deb – Different jails use different contractors. I’m sure it’s true if their website says that’s who they use. You would have to contact ICSolutions about getting the remainder of your money refunded.

      • admin

Donna – That is a private company. We don’t have information on how they function. You need to contact them. If any of our readers can help, please add your comments.

I put money on my account so I can receive calls. I’m able to accept the calls but can only talk for a few minutes than the phone goes mute and hangs up. They call back and we talk for the full 15 minutes. Idk what the problem is and its frustrating. Paying almost $5 a call and get disconnected adds up. Its also hard to hear at times or goes mute throughout the call. Please help!

Ok my son is in jail at the bexar county adult detection center. I have an account with securetel. Can i register that with icsolutions for him to call me back. Securetel sent me how to use but it says to register it to icsolutions. Can i do that. Can u let me know.

      • admin

Maria – You need to contact ICSolutions to see if they will allow that. That company is a private contractor. They don’t belong to the jail.

Richardwayne – You can’t. The bail money that gets returned is returned to the inmate. You would have to get it back from him.

      • admin

Danielle – If you are talking about their commissary account, yes, they will let him know. If you are talking about the phone account, no, you will have to tell him.

Ronald – We are not the Bexar County jail. We are a private website that attempts to help people deal with the processes at the jail. Call Central Records at 210-335-6201. You will need her name and date of birth.

i need help, this is the fiesrt itme i have someone in jail, he calls me but im not allowed to provide my v=credit card info, i get placeed on hold for ic solutions, then get diconnected. whats all this pre paid stuff

    • admin

Blanca – Yeah, we hear a lot of complaints about the vendors that handle the phone system and the food services. Can’t blame the mail room people on the vendors. Those are county people. You could try calling the Sheriff’s office to complain. 210-335-6010

  6. Stephanie

I need a phone call record of what was said to me by an inmate is it possible to get a recording of that phone call that was made or all phone calls not for public record

    • Elizabeth

ICS solutions suck and they are expensive and rip off people maybe they should be locked up they are bunch of thieves with their overpriced calls just because they are inmates and are being taken advantage of because they know they have to pay no matter what

      • admin

Elizabeth – All of these services take advantage of the families and friends of inmates. A portion does go to programs that benefit inmates, but I’m sure what the company gets is still way beyond market levels.

I think it’s dumb that after a certain amount u have to wait till the next month to add more minutes. If we are the ones paying there shouldn’t be a limit!

  8. leonard

Interesting on you get charged for putting money in the account then if you want to close your account with a positive balance you get CHARGED again. Seems like the TDC is a lucrative system as well as the companies that provide services. Sure would like to see the the financial books on said company. Can you tell me how much the CLOS get paid.

  9. Carolyn

Is ICSOLUTIONS the only calling service for B.C.A.D.C ? It is way to expensive. There are other companies out there that charge $34.00 for unlimited calling. Unlike ICSOLUTIONS $32.01 a week.

    • admin

Carolyn – Yes they are the only calling service but we agree, they charge way too much. We encourage out readers to call the Sheriff’s Office, 210-335-6010, to complain about the cost and to recommend the other company you say charges less.

      • admin

Savannah – You need to go to the ICSolutions website to see their costs. They are the vendor that handles the inmate phone calls. What we can tell you is that it’s more than just pennies.

  12. claudia

everything is v ery simple. go on line and ask HOW DO I PUT MONEY ON COMMISSARY ACCOUNT ON PHONE ACCOUNT FOR INMATE AT BEXAR COUNTY JAIL IN S.A. TEX – icsolutions tells you just how to do it – you have to have a credit card – just follow the prompts on the phone

  13. Hattie

My moms ex is in Bexar county jail and she doesn’t want to hear from him…what number would show up if he calls her from jail?

    • admin

Laura – Our readers keep mentioning a calling card but when we check into it we are told there is not one. We will check on it again.

im trying set up an a debit account for an inmate but I dont know what agency to put when it asks me so I tried called to put money in to if solutions and wait for customer service but they keep hanging up on me

    • admin

Amber – ICSolutions is a private company that contracts with the jail to provide phone services. Anytime someone is having problems with one of the contract agencies they should call to complain to the Sheriff’s Office. If they get enough complaints they will see they have a real problem and contact ICSolutions.

I just paid on my Inmate.aid acct to talk with my son. This will still work won’t it? It is what I have always used.

    • admin

Melissa – We’ll be honest. We don’t know. None of us has heard of that. The Bexar County Jail uses ICSolutions for their inmate phone service.

Hi I already have an ICS Solutions account and I’m familiar with the system. I’ve been trying to leave a message for an inmate but the call to the Bexar County Voicemail system is not working/going through. The call keeps dropping. I’m able to make calls to other numbers just fine. Had the number been changed??

      • admin

Grace – All calls to inmates go through ICSolutions. If you are having a problem with the system, you need to contact them. It’s a private company that the jail contracts with. You can complain about the service you are getting (or not getting) to the jail so they have that information the next time the contract is up for renewal.

Does the magistrate use IC Solutions as well? They are trying to call me from the magistrate and it’s not letting me accept even though I have money on the IC Solutions account.

    • admin

Katrina – We don’t believe so but that’s a City side function. We’re not sure what the City of San Antonio uses.

Considering being aware of the ic solutions and payments and deposits in as to wat i think i need to know theres always the good with bad and after 8 months or better i recently deposited funds to my acct in which was made through a western union netspend card little i was aware this process takes 1-2 hours to process to a regular reload card that funds be in 5 minutes or less that after everything said done contacted the ic solution representative explaining yet even after 2hours of waiting call once more so happens supervisor or anyone at that was able to assist me in that i went a whole day without speaking to husband and even third time yet still no answer funds approved im very upset and frustrated in that i haven’t recieved no answers funds not able to be processed pending status showing and no supervisor how or what should be happen in a situation as the one ‘im dealing it i dont get it shouldn’t there be someone at that more then just one who could be able to assit me anyone in this matter? sincerely a unsatisified customer

    • admin

Tamara – I’m sorry for the problems you are having. ICSolutions is an independent contractor hired to handle the phone system. The sheriff isn’t the only person to accept them but he does have a lot of sway if he chooses to use it. In normal circumstances you should be able to call to Sheriff’s Administration and let them know the problems you are having. They, in turn, should call the company representative to let them know people are experiencing problems. Unfortunately, there is a sheriff in office who doesn’t appear to care about his own people, much less the inmates and their families. I would still call (210-335-6010) but don’t be surprised if all they do is blow you off by telling you to call the company.

As in regards to your feedback or answer I’d like to state your right in stated as of your employees or inmates ur stand correct in to the sheriff’s department or co workers not caring in as to much less the inmates I know that for a fact and also know how things run can be ran wat is wat isn’t considering I was once was there I’m aware but to say it’s sad to have to deal yet be against one another rather help one another in all the little issues that become major in times as such. But appreciate if much respect

    Two inmate contact related questions:

    1) ICSolutions FAQs states that voice mails can be left for inmates but the facility must provide a voice mail phone number for you to call. When I call the Bexar County jail no one seems to know what that number is or if leaving voice mails is an option. Anyone know anything about this?

    2) How do prisoners make calls associated with a prepaid account? Do they simply dial the number associated to the account and the phone system will automatically process it appropriately? We mailed the inmate with the phone number to call us at but I guess I am wondering if they have to know to do anything special to make a call against the prepaid account that has been setup for them.

Norma – ICSolutions is a private company that the jail contracts with to handle inmate phone calls. You would need to contact them to answer your questions.

I see solutions seems to be down because I can’t access their website. And I haven’t heard from my contact that’s an inmate an wondering if it’s just the website or if inmates are unable to make calls as well?

    • admin

Riley – ICSolutions is a private company that the county contracts with to provide phone services. If you are having problems with them, you need to contact Sheriff’s Administration at the jail to let them know.

Yes they must’ve had a systemwide update because the site is back up now and I have received some calls from my contact but I was very disappointed on how there was no information that the site would be down or to tell people that they may be losing their video visitation because they’re going to be unable to connect. I’ll spread the word about this site the best I can to people that I know that need it,. It has proven to be more helpful thank most especially with the list of commissary items and list of numbers to contact people inside the jail like commissary or mail.

        Thank you

      • admin

Riley – Thank you for this information. It will help others. Unfortunately the jail under Salazar doesn’t seem to care about the inmates, much less the families of the inmates. They make it extremely difficult for us to get information. I wish we could do more but even one question can result in multiple transfers and even hang ups before we get an answer, if we get an answer. Any information from our readers is very much appreciated.

Well after yesterday the day before’s fiasco with the entire icy solution system being down nationwide, now bexar county is Having problems again and it doesn’t seem I you can see your current video visitation appointments on the site and if the problem doesn’t get fixed by 9 AM people are going to start losing their video visitation that they’ve been waiting weeks for like me, I sure hope they get it back online but they’re definitely not gonna post the third down or that you’re going to be having technical difficulties. So if you can’t get online to do your video visitation or see your reservation from their site or app it’s because he had another problem at the bexar County detention.

Caitlin – Thank you for passing on this information, but we do not feel comfortable in releasing it. The phone numbers at the Bexar County jail begin with 210-335-. Bexar County does not have a voicemail system for inmates. It is very possible that this is a private company providing this service. However, when we looked into it online we found plenty of scam and no confidence warnings for the information you gave. We will not intentionally put our readers at risk and we recommend that you be very careful if you are using this service.

    • admin

Emilia – No, they don’t. You need to either tell the inmate when you speak to him/her or send a letter telling them money has been added.
