People continue to be afraid of Muslims thinking they are all terrorists and that they want to bring Sharia law to the United States but we have a bigger problem right here in our own backyard. Any religion can become radicalized. There is no denying that we have Christian radicals. They terrorize people saying Muslims are trying to bring Sharia law while they are trying to bring Christian law that calls for the killing of anyone they disapprove of.
There are 29 states that have the death penalty. Those states don’t execute every single person convicted of murder and none of those states execute rapists, kidnappers, adulterers or people from the LGBTQ community (just because they are from the LGBTQ community). This kind of thinking should worry more than just the LGBTQ community. It’s estimated that about 50% of married people cheat on their spouse. That’s a lot of dead people in Fritts’ world.
But that’s exactly what Detective Grayson Fritts with Knox County, preached at his church. And I do literally mean his church. He is the pastor. Fritts was particularly adamant in his hate of homosexuals. This is not just a non-work related personal opinion. In his sermon he insists that the police should be arresting homosexuals so they can be tried, found guilty and killed. He feels Leviticus 20:13 requires that the police should be doing that. This is extremely troubling since the man is a POLICE DETECTIVE!
He says he always treated people fairly in his job but that’s just not possible. When you are already predisposed to see someone as a “filthy animal” then you are not capable of treating that person in a fair manner. You can watch the Now This video below or you can see a longer version, where he makes his filthy animals comment and many others, at the Washington Post website. You have to scroll down a bit in the article to find the video.
We would like to say that we hope that suit he is wearing is 100% cotton or wool because according to Leviticus 19:19, “You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.” Got a little polyester blend going there, bud?
Lord, save us from false prophets.
