Police Lieutenant Arrested for Child Pornography
Jacob Pullen, a lieutenant with the New Braunfels Police Department, was arrested on December 9, 2019, for Possession of Child Pornography. Very little information has been given about this case or about Lt. Pullen. Lt. Pullen was placed on administrative leave once his agency was notified about the investigation, which is being conducted by the Texas Rangers. Lt. Pullen has been with the NBPD for over 13 years. The NBPD spokesperson put out the following statement, “The New Braunfels Police Department would like to reassure the community that we remain committed to providing a safe place to live, work, and play,” the department wrote in their statement. “NBPD officers are expected to maintain the highest of ethical and moral standards, and as difficult as this situation is, it should be clear to the community that the New Braunfels Police Department does not shy away from holding accountable those that fall short of those standards.”
More Sex Crimes Against Children
Khurtis Maasch was arrested on Friday, January 3. Officer Maasch works for the Colorado Department of Corrections. He was arrested after an investigation into the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl. Maasch was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child and three counts of luring a child through the internet. KOAA.com article here.
The Colorado Department of Corrections put out the following statement, “Our department is appalled by the alleged behavior of Mr. Maasch. We thank the Fountain Police Department for their work, and will assist them in any way we can. The alleged incidents and actions happened outside of our facility, and go against everything we stand for as a department. Mr. Maasch will be suspended from the department as the proper next steps are taken in accordance with the state personnel rules.”
