10/15/2018 – Bexar County Deputy Arrested for Shoplifting



The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is now at 21 officers arrested so far this year.  Deputy Joseph Becerra was shopping at a Target in Balcones Heights when he removed the sensor on an expensive Dyson vacuum cleaner.  He took the vacuum cleaner, a birthday card and a some gift wrapping paper to guest services but only paid for the wrapping paper.

Becerra was stopped by one of Target’s loss prevention personnel after Becerra exited the building.  Balcones Heights Police Department made the arrest.  Becerra was charged with theft of property.  Joseph Becerra has submitted his resignation to the Sheriff’s Office.
