10/18/2018 – SAPD Officer Arrested for DWI



A San Antonio Police Officer, Charles McInvale, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.  McInvale was arrested in Wilson County.  Officer McInvale, a 24 year veteran, was placed on administrative leave.  Click to see the KSAT 12 article.

This website has printed multiple articles on Bexar County Officers but it appears that the San Antonio Police Department is having its own issues.  At the bottom of the article on the San Antonio firefighter who was arrested for DWI is a whole list of SAPD officers who have been placed on suspension just in the month of September.  The listed officers are:

Officer Luis Torres got an on-duty officer to check up on Torres’ girlfriend and also used the law enforcement system to check up on people she knew.

Officer Jacob Barcena wrecked a city vehicle.

Officer Anthony Brown used city equipment for unofficial purposes.

Probationary Officer Tyler Stenson wrecked a city vehicle.

Officer James Quintanilla deactivated his body-worn camera while following a vehicle. He did not reactivate the camera until he was in a foot chase with the driver.

Officer Heidi Cruz wrecked a city vehicle.

Officer Steven Martinez was arrested for theft by check $100 – $750.

Detective Hector Valdez accidentally discharged his weapon.

Officer Sergio Villanueva deactivated his body-worn camera while following a vehicle. He did not reactivate the camera until the individual was arrested.
