Fifteen detention officers and one civilian employee took and passed the American Correctional Association test. On Tuesday the 22nd they were honored by Sheriff Pamerleau and Jail Administrator Raul Banasco for their efforts.
From the Administrators: We want to assure everyone that the deputies working at the jail have the certification needed to do their job. The ACA certification these 15 officers got is not a requirement for their job nor does it do anything to help them pass Jail Standards. It’s a feel good thing. We didn’t want our readers to become concerned or scared thinking the deputies at the jail lack certification.
