The information to order from iCare is in the section titled Special Programs. That section gives the internet links to get to the order page. I don’t know that I would call those food gift packages deals but I’m sure your son would like one even if they are a little pricey.

How can you find out if the ICare package has been delivered?

  • admin  On April 6, 2011 at 5:30 am

Try calling the customer service department at 1-877-615-3296. They are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST. Make sure to read all their information including the Terms & Conditions.

My son saw the doctor a few times in Bexar County Jail. He heard that if money was put in his commissary account $15 for each visit would be deducted. Does anyone know if this is true?

  • admin  On November 30, 2011 at 10:32 pm

Mary – There is a small charge for medical care and it is taken from an individual’s commissary account. The amount charged depends on what was done.

Can loved ones send inmates food in boxes? Without purchasing from icare? In other words, on their own?

  • admin  On March 28, 2012 at 12:51 am

    Caroline – No.

how do i order some soups ? i went to the icare & they dont got none. …. someone help me plz …

  • admin  On May 30, 2012 at 4:42 am

Vanessa – You can only order what iCare has available. If you want soup and can’t get it from iCare your only other option is to put money into the inmate’s commissary account. He can buy soup from the regular commissary list. All they have is ramen type soup but they at least have it in different flavors.

I haven’t checked out the icare care packs yet but I have a question for anyone who has sent an inmate a care pack as well as commissary funds. Which would you say is cheaper, buying and sending a are package or simply adding $ to the persons account so they can choose what they want? Are the care packages a better choice for someone who is receiving meds or has had dr visits? Aside from the soups most items are expensive, glad the prices are better on tdc units, assuming that hasnt changed.

Eve – Commissary is cheaper but has a more limited selection.
