Veronica - It is a major hassle. I wish our readers would send letters and emails to Sheriff Pamerleau asking that brand new books coming from bookstores be accepted. Leah – We believe anyone can make a mistake. We’re not here to judge. We are also not the Bexar County jail. We’re a privately owned website. It sounds as if your fiance is no longer in jail. That being the case you will need to contact the court for the information you need. Go to the category titled “Phone Numbers”. You will need to remember what court he was in the first time. Once there select the list you need. It was probably one of the County Courts. Click on the link to get the phone list. You will need to call the court clerk during regular business hours and will need to have his sid number ready to give them. Good luck.

Lala – Go to the category titled “Commissary”. Once there you will find all kinds of items that commissary carries. The lists may be a little outdated. We had a really hard time getting even that much information from the jail since they claim it does not fall under the open records act. I have my doubts about that. Still, the lists should be pretty representative of what is offered. Commissary is the extra. All inmates receive basic food and hygiene items.

Danielle – We’re kind of having to guess about what you may be talking about. We’re thinking someone may have had a parole or probation violation and is pending a review/hearing. If this is what is happening then the inmate is waiting for the parole board or his probation officer to review his current situation to determine if it is enough of a violation to revoke his parole or probation.

Melissa – Technically, yes. But it mostly depends on the circumstances. Say your boyfriend is in the Bexar County jail but also has a warrant out of Guadalupe County, Bexar County can hold your boyfriend past the 30 days while they wait for Guadalupe County to come pick him up. That is just one example. There are various other things that can happen.

Roberto – Your son can file a grievance stating the problem. The paperwork to file grievances are in the day rooms. When a grievance is filed the claim must be looked into to see what the problem is.

Erika – Contact Central Records at 210-35-6201. They can look up active warrant information unless it’s a ticket. Ticket information can be gotten from the agency that issued the ticket.

Pauline – There are forms in the day rooms that allow an inmate to request all kinds of information. Commissary balance is one of the things they can ask about. He needs to submit one of those forms requesting his commissary balance.

Do you have any information on sending paperback books to the Bexar County Detention Center? I tried sending a couple of paperbacks through Barnes & Noble last week. I thought this would be ok since another Texas facility my brother was at used this vendor for books and magazines. When I found out he still hadn’t received the package i checked the online tracking information and found out that it was declined and sent back. I tried contacting the prison and was told that books need to come directly from the publisher however the publishers I keep finding only sale their books through places like Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Needless to say I’m a bit confused on how this whole process works. Any information you have would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, my fiancee had court May 15-16. He is pending info. And is believed to be back in court June 15th..,? I am questioning the date to be exact and the degree he is being accused of what charges,? We are fighting the DWI. J*** is an absolute awesome gentleman! I am so blessed to have in my life. I suffer from extreme grand mal seizures. He has been beside me with them for since back last October. We are going to marry soon. This will not break us but keep us stronger in love. Can I request the info for my fiance. I am new to this. Sorry if I didn’t do it right. Thank you.
